Advanced Open Water Scuba Classes

The PADI Advanced Open Water Course is designed to:

  • Improve your overall diving skills, including navigation and bouyancy 
  • Give you added confidence in various diving conditions
  • Introduce you to multi-level diving, night diving and deep diving
  • Unlike the basic open water course, it stresses practical application rather than theory. This means only:
    • One classroom session
    • One pool session
    • Five open water dives

This course is ideal for the diver who has just passed his/her open water course or for those certified divers who wish to further their diving experience.

COST: $160.00

Prerequisites:

 You must be 12 years of age or older to participate in a PADI Advanced Certification

Course Outline:

CLASSROOM: One classroom session to review the information in the PADI Advanced Open Water manual from the chapters below, learn the use of the PADI Wheel and discuss the upcoming open water dives.

POOL SESSIONS: One workout in the pool to practice skills that will be used during the open water dives.

OPEN WATER DIVING: Students are required to complete 5 open water dives over a minimum period of 2 days. Depending upon location and local dive conditions, your instructor will choose from the following group of dives.

  • Deep Dive
  • Navigation Dive
  • Night Dive
  • Search & Recovery
  • Multi-Level
  • Altitude
  • Wreck  

Equipment and Course Materials Required:

 

Each student is required to have his/her own equipment, including BCD, regulator, wet suit, etc. However, this may be rented from Underwater Phantaseas for the time needed to complete the course.
Each student must acquire the following before the start of class -

Student kit including :

  • Adventures in Diving Student Manual ($45.45)
  • Adventures in Diving DVD or Video ($32.70)
  • High altitude dive tables ($8.95)
  • PADI Processing Fee ($35.00)

Upon completion of the course, a processing fee for your Advanced C-Card is also required. All students enrolled in an Underwater Phantaseas course receive a 10% discount on all equipment excluding sale items and course materials.
