Dry Suit Specialty Course
Learning how to dive with a dry suit will increase your comfort level
in cooler waters and lengthen your diving season. Come join us and experience
the fun of cold water diving in the warmth of a dry suit.
Prerequisites:
- 12 years of age or older
- PADI Open Water Diver Certification or equivilant
Course Structure:
- One classroom and pool session approximately 4 hours in length (total
for both)
- 2 open water dives (for PADI specialty only)
Classroom & Pool Session:
- Types of dry suits available
- Care and repair of dry suits
- Special techniques in dry suit diving
- How to handle dry suit diving emergencies
Open Water Diving:
- Two open water dives with a certified PADI instructor are required
to complete the PADI Dry Suit Diver Specialty course. Open Waters are
available locally (usually at Aurora Reservoir).
Included:
- 1 classroom & pool session
- 2 Open Water Dives with a certified PADI instructor
- Tanks, weights and weight belts (for PADI specialty only)
- 10% discount on all diving equipment purchased during your term as
a student (course materials, sale items, and equipment rentals excluded).
Not Included:
- Diving gear for the Open Water Dives - BCD, Regulator, etc....but
may be rented
- Transportation, meals and accommodations for the Open Water Dives
- PADI Dry Suit Manual & video student kit
- PADI certification fee and passport sized photo
