Night Diver Specialty Course
The PADI Night Diver course is designed to introduce you to night
diving and help one develop the skills, knowledge and techniques necessary to participate
in night diving activities. At night, marine life comes alive, nocturnal creatures
multiply and fish become very tame and docile. So come join us for a unique experience and
light up the underwater world with a Night Diver Specialty certification.
Course Structure:
- 1 classroom session approximately 2 hours in length.
- 3 open water dives or 2 open water dives if student is PADI Advanced Open Water
certified.
Classroom: The classroom covers the knowledge and
techniques of:
- Planning, organization and hazards of night diving.
- Buoyancy control navigation and communication.
- Use of dive lights and buddy-system.
- Disorientation and emergency procedures.
- Orientation to nocturnal aquatic life.
Open Water Diving:
Three open water dives with a certified PADI instructor are required to
complete the PADI Night Diver Specialty course. Open waters are available
at the Blue Hole or locally at the Aurora Reservoir - see schedule.
COST: $75.00
Included:
- 1 classroom session.
- Three open water dives with a certified PADI instructor
- Tanks, weights and weight belts for open water dives.
- 10% discount on all diving equipment purchased during your term as a student (course
materials, sale items, and equipment rentals excluded).
Not Included:
- Night Diving video and manual ($49.95)
- Diving gear for the open water dives - BCD, regulator, wet suit, etc.... but may be
rented during the course.
- Transportation, meals and accommodations for the open water dives.
- PADI "Adventures in Diving" Advanced Open Water Student kit.
- 3 Cyalume Chemical lite sticks.
- Underwater dive light.
- PADI certification fee to process your C-Card ($30.00) plus one passport
quality photo taken at the completion of the course.
