Deep Diver

The PADI Deep Diver course is designed to help you develop the necessary skills, knowledge, and techniques to safely participate in deep diving activities.

PREREQUISITES:

*  15 years of age or older.

*  PADI Advanced Open Water certification or equivalent.

COURSE STRUCTURE:

*  Home study viewing PADI video cassette and Deep Diver manual.

*  3 open water dives in addition to the one performed during your Advanced Open Water.

*  Review and briefing at open water dive site.

  Course information covered:

*  Planning, procedures and techniques.

*  Risk factors and dive tables review.

*  Safety stops and emergency decompression procedures.

*  Special equipment, descent lines, and buoyancy control considerations.

*  Procedures for flying after diving and high altitude diving.

*  Orientation to decompression chambers.

OPEN WATER DIVING:

Four open water dives with a certified PADI instructor are required to complete the PADI Deep Diver Specialty course.  Open waters are available at the Homestead Crater,  Blue Hole and locally at the Aurora Reservoir – see schedule.

COURSE FEE:  $150.00

 *A non-refundable deposit of $50.00 is due at sign-up

INCLUDED:

*  Briefing and review of course at open water dive site.

*  Four open water dives with a certified PADI Instructor.

*  Tanks, weights, and weight belts.

*  10% discount on all diving equipment purchased during your term as a student (course

    materials, sale items, and equipment rentals excluded).

NOT INCLUDED:

*  PADI Deep Diving video and manual – $57.00.

*  Diving gear for the open water dives – BCD, regulator, wet suit, etc…but may be rented

    during the course.

*  Transportation, meals, and accommodations for the open water dives.

*  High altitude Conversion Tables – $8.95.

*  PADI certification fee of $35.00 to     process your C-card
