What to Expect on Our Fiji Dive Trip to Volivoli Resort

Every winter, a group of our divers trades Colorado's cold reservoirs for warm, clear water, and this November it's Fiji. We're running a group trip to Volivoli Beach Resort from November 19 to 28, 2026, and it's open for booking now. Here's what's actually involved, so you can decide if it's right for you.
Where You're Going
Volivoli Beach Resort sits at the northern tip of Viti Levu, Fiji's main island, on a stretch of white sand facing the Bligh Waters. It's one of those spots that doesn't show up on every travel list, which is part of the appeal. The water stays around 82 degrees Fahrenheit year-round, a real change of pace if you learned to dive in a Colorado reservoir.
What the Diving Looks Like
The Bligh Waters are known for nutrient-rich currents that support big schools of fish and healthy coral, which makes this a strong trip for underwater photographers as well as divers who just want to see a lot of life on every dive. Over the week, the package includes five days of boat diving at two to three tanks a day, plus unlimited shore diving on designated days. Nitrox is available if you're certified to use it.
What's Included
The trip covers seven nights at the resort with three meals a day, airport transfers, wifi, a welcome drink, a beach barbecue, a traditional Fijian performance, and use of the resort's kayaks and paddleboards on your days off the boat. Tanks, weights, and dive guides are included with every boat and shore dive.
What It Costs
Pricing depends on your room type. A Premium Ocean View room runs $3,450 per diver based on double occupancy, or $3,950 for single occupancy (limited availability). A Luxury Villa based on quad occupancy runs $3,125 per diver. None of these prices include airfare, though we do have limited group airfare available from LAX to Nadi for $1,200. A $1,000 non-refundable deposit per person holds your spot, and we'd strongly recommend picking up trip insurance given the deposit terms.
What to Bring
This is a warm-water trip, which means your Colorado gear list gets a lot shorter. Leave the drysuit at home. A 3mm wetsuit or even just a rash guard is usually plenty at 82 degrees. If your mask, fins, and regulator have mostly seen cold Colorado water, this is a good excuse to get them serviced before you fly. Come by the shop and we'll help you figure out what to pack versus what to rent when you get there.
Is This Trip for You?
You don't need to be an advanced diver to enjoy Volivoli, but the more comfortable you are in the water, the more you'll get out of the boat dives. If you're newly certified and want a confidence boost before a trip like this, a PADI ReActivate refresher beforehand is worth considering, especially if it's been a while since your last dive.
